Abstract Submission – Instruction

Abstracts should be submitted electronically no later than November 15, 2014.

Abstracts received by fax will not be considered; should you have any problem with the online submission, please contact the Organizing Secretariat AIM Congress (

The Presenting Author of an accepted abstract must register and attend the Congress. Registration is therefore compulsory in order to present an abstract during the Congress.

Each Presenting Author is allowed to send a maximum number of 3 abstracts. This rule will give the chance to everybody to send his/her abstract/s and have it/them included in the scientific program of the Conference.

Acknowledgement of receipt of the submission will be sent to the email address stated under section “Personal Details” of the abstract submisson form.

Abstract will be accepted according to scientific merit.
Notification on acceptance of the abstract will be emailed by the end of year 2014.


The corresponding Author will receive all correspondence concerning the abstract/s by email and is responsible for informing the other Authors about the status of the abstract/s.
Please check carefully that you have entered a valid email address.

Upon submission, indicate your preferred presentation form (free paper = oral / quick shot & young surgeon presentations = poster / video) and one of the topics that best describes the abstract/s.

Abstracts must be written in English. The Congress language is English and no translation facilities will be available on site.

The complete abstract must not exceed 5000 characters, including spaces (approx 600 words).
All abbreviations must be defined the first time they appear in the text, before being used as an abbreviation only.
Structure abstracts are mandatory. The abstract/s should state clearly purpose, methods, results and conclusions.

It is the Author’s responsibility to submit a correct abstract; any errors in spelling, grammar or scientific fact will be reproduced as typed by the Author, if accepted.

Please follow carefully the instructions reported on the online pages and fill in all the requested fields, in order to guarantee a correct and complete publication of the text.

Authors may change their abstract/s until the deadline, using the User id and Password received upon submission.
Should the Author wish to withdraw the abstract/s he submitted after the deadline, he/she will have to inform the Organiziang Secretariat by email (


Type of presentations

Free paper = oral presentations
Quick shot & young surgeon presentations = poster presentations
Video = video

Video submission: because of the weight of video presentations, please upload your file and send it to the Organizing Secretariat through . Video submissions should be a maximum of 5 minutes duration and demonstrate a novel idea or tips and tricks.
Before sending your video, please email the Organizing Secretariat providing the following info: title of the video, topic of the video, lenght of the video.
The submissin of the abstract of the video through the online abstract submission form is compulsory.

In submitting an abstract, all Authors agree to the following terms ans conditions:

– I confirm that each Author/Presenter listed agree with the content of this abstract and has given permission to be listed as an Author/Presenter

– I have checked the accuracy of the info and referencing within the abstract/s

– I understand that should my abstract/s be accepted for presentation, I am required to complete a congress registration.

– I understand that my abstract/s will not be published until my registration and full payment has been received
